General information on data processing

GeSe-GmbH takes the protection of information and data provided to us very seriously. Data protection principles such as data minimisation, transparency and security have top priority for us.

We use a variety of automated systems to manage, store and process data from our members for a range of purposes (e.g. newsletters).

We will delete or block your personal data once the purpose of storage and processing ceases to exist, provided no legal obligations or claims that may be asserted against us exist to necessitate the continued storage of your personal data.

How do we collect your data and which data do we collect?

We collect the personal data you disclose when you register for our online shop. Other data is automatically collected and stored in log files when you visit our website. This primarily comprises technical data (e.g. Internet browser, operating system, time of the page request or your IP address). Your IP address is processed in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. This data is automatically collected as soon as you enter our website. Your IP address is generally stored in an anonymised form. Your full IP address will only be stored for the purposes of tracing technical errors and cyber-attacks as well as recording consent, e.g. for subscribing to the newsletter.

This personal information will not be stored when you visit our site using a smartphone, tablet or other mobile device. This data is also not merged with other data sources.

Right to data portability

The new right to data portability stipulated in Art. 20 of the GDPR is closely linked to the right of access but also differs in a number of ways. You can subscribe to our free newsletter on our website. When you register, we will ask for your name and email address. We require your email address to send the newsletter. We collect your name during the registration process to prevent the misuse of our services or the email address provided.

Your data is disclosed to third parties in relation to data processing for sending the newsletter. This information is solely used for the purpose of sending the newsletter.

Personal data entered into the input mask will only be processed by us to facilitate communication. Contact that is established by email constitutes a necessary legitimate interest for the processing of data.

Other personal data processed when the form is submitted aims to prevent the misuse of the contact form and ensure the security of our IT systems.

Storage duration

Your data is erased as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. This is deemed the case for personal data collected from the input mask on the contact form or by email when the respective conversation with the user ends. The conversation is considered over when the circumstances surrounding the matter in question have been conclusively resolved.

Any additional personal data collected when the form was submitted will be deleted after a period of seven days at the latest.

Right to object and removal

Users can revoke their consent to the processing of their personal data at any time. They can also object to the storage of their personal data at any time. The conversation cannot be continued in the above cases.
